Finance lease enables you to release capital for use in other areas of your business. Finance leasing gives you all the advantages of ownership, unrestricted use of the vehicle, plus proceeds of the sale after any final instalments have been made (if applicable).
Rentals are allowed against profits before tax for cars costing up to £12,000.00. This will be slightly reduced for more expensive cars in relation to the vehicle cost. This can result in a significant benefit compared with the writing down allowance you could claim if you purchase the same car. Note that the tax is not saved indefinitely, but deferred. This creates additional funds, free of charge, for you to use in your business. It is the tax deferred aspect which has made leasing so attractive to numerous businesses.
